Unbought and unbossed Independent for District C

A bit about me and my background.

I’m a 23-year-old lifelong resident of Watertown. I’ve gone through our public school system and have witnessed the changes in our educational system. I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Urban Planning at Northeastern University. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from UMass Boston with a degree in Environmental Science and a minor in Political Science.

I decided to run for two main reasons, the first being I felt that during the Watertown Square redesign process people’s concerns with respect to traffic and public transportation were not fully being heard or addressed. I felt that we needed someone on the council who would advocate bold changes in public transportation to meet the needs of the people as well as for our growing population. The second reason why I decided to run was because nobody has run against the incumbent in over a decade and I feel that it is not good in a democracy, we need people who are willing to get out there and run. Otherwise, our incumbents have no reason to be representative of all the people.
